To Groupon or Not to Groupon
based on the number of discussions we are having as well as the number of snipette submissions we are getting around Groupon and Groupon Super Bowl Ads, it looks like some marketers and marketing students are considering adding Groupon to the marketing mix.
What do you think? DoYOU Groupon?

Seems like an excellent way to help businesses attrct customers, the mobile marketing trend has taken over and these new platforms present valuable opportunities. I dont groupon yet but I havent really looked for much, I think its time to start..
I think that the idea of Groupon is an excellent marketing device. The article states that “vouchers are likely to be profitable for merchants with low marginal costs (who can better accommodate a large discount) and for patient merchants (who place higher value on consumers’ possible future return visits).” I agree with this statement but question for what type of business would it not be profitable. I see this as an asset to any type of business in terms of discovering new customers and general market exposure. I personally do not Groupon but if I owned a business or had a position in marketing I would take full advantage of this marketing technique.
I Groupon. I love it. I mostly buy restaurant Groupons. It gives me a good excuse to eat out at new places. I have found a few restaurants through Groupon that I would have never tried and I love them and eat there all the time now.
